LEADERSHIP AND TEAM.
The Hotel Advisors Global team comprises real people, with real experience, who are hands-on industry experts. This is the value we bring, which translates directly to increasing your reputation, your potential and your profit.
It’s our job to guide the prosperity of clients’ hotels, before, during or after opening, and through the entire hotel lifecycle. Once operational, we can help create a customer experience that breeds loyalty and respect; to advise operators on how to keep reinventing their offering, respond to market dynamics and to provide facilities, service, food and beverage that start conversations.

C-suite and senior hotel roles with Hilton, Bally, BW Hotels, BIG4 and IHG for 25 years in Australia, NZ, Asia and the USA, as well as ownership of a group of restaurants and a hotel technology company preceded the establishment of this advisory business in 2005. Decades of board roles with destination management organisations and MICE market associations provide broader depth to his expertise. Rodger acts only for hotel owners and specialises in asset management, feasibility studies, operator selections, development, design and construction advice and expert witness assignments. He advises some of the most successful hotel owners and most profitable hotels in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. He is known for pragmatic, commercially focused advice and for telling clients what they need to hear rather than what they want to hear.

Experience gained from more than 30 years in senior management roles with IHG, Accor, Marriott, Mirvac and Nikko across Australia, NZ, and Asia Pacific led Ruwan to the specialist area of hotel owners advisory, where he now applies his expertise on behalf of hotel owners to ensure their asset performs to its highest potential. Knowing how to get the best from each hotel operator’s toolbox, and how to support general managers across all operational areas, allows Ruwan to best align owners’ and operators’ interests and deliver superior returns for both parties. Ruwan has particular expertise in restaurants and bars and across all elements of resorts, spas, golf courses and convention centres and is highly respected for his collaborative and no-nonsense approach. His remit includes hotel asset management, development, design and construction support, and hotel operator selections.
